2. In musicology news, the once-inscrutable musical notation of ancient Greece is no longer inscrutable. Researchers at Oxford University have discovered a way to read it -- and now, we have a pretty good idea of what ancient Greek music sounded like.

4. Pizza deliverer by day; concert pianist by night. This Iowa teen's impromptu concert on a piano at a customer's house went viral, and when he spoke with ABC News, he said the best thing any musician has ever said about classical music:
"It's always a big stress reliever to be able to just bust out some Beethoven or Mozart."
5. This company made its name translating racy opera and oratorio lyrics to make slightly-less-scandalous, supertitle-friendly versions of classics like Carmina Burana and Das Lied von der Erde.
