This week on the Symphony at 8, we're celebrating the start of another school year with one of Boston's best student orchestras - the New England Conservatory Philharmonia, led by Hugh Wolff.
Join us each weeknight at 8 for extraordinary performances by some of today's most exciting young musicians.
The five symphonies you'll hear represent not only the core of the orchestral repertoire, but also a range of particular emotional experiences for listeners. Those qualities, combined with the kinetically charged energy of the musicians of NEC, add up to create performances of unusual magnetism, all recorded in concert at NEC's Jordan Hall.
