Celebrate J.S. Bach's 331st birthday with free concerts all day at Boston's First Lutheran Church and the St. Mark Passion at Emmanuel Church in the evening.
For several years, Hungarian-born organist and composer Balint Karosi has worked with the Boston chapter of the American Guild of Organists to celebrate Bach's birthday with a celebration at First Lutheran Church in Boston, the home of the spectacular organ you see here.
Karosi has recently taken on a new position in New York, but Boston Bach Birthday remains a passion of his. I've been privileged to be at many of these celebrations, sometimes on stage and sometimes in the audience.
I'll be there again this year, on Saturday, March 19th. (Bach's actual birthday is March 21st.) I hope you'll join me and hundreds of others who are consistently inspired by Bach's music. Oh, and by German food. Yes, that's happening too.
For more info and the complete performance schedule, visit First Lutheran Church. I'll see you there!
