Weekday Morning Drive Host

Laura Carlo has been WCRB’s Morning Program Host for over 20 years. She has written, produced and hosted numerous programs for WCRB including "ArtsAlive!" "Laura's Book Nook" "CEO Spotlight" and "Baroque in Boston." Under the station's original ownership she also hosted the morning show for the World Classical Network, syndicated in 16 US cities, making her the most listened to stand-alone female music announcer in America, according to Arbitron. She has been both a part-time Music Host and News Anchor on New York's WQXR. Here in Boston, Weekend News Anchor on WBZ Radio and Weekend News Writer/News Producer for WCVB-TV 5; Afternoon News Anchor for Channel 27 (Worcester); and News Director/Morning Anchor on Fall River's WALE Radio. She is a pianist and channels Chopin daily.

Edyn-Mae Stevenson
Weekday Midday Host

Edyn-Mae grew up in South Lancaster, MA, fostering her love for classical music in the cello section of the Youth Ensemble of New England. She first caught the public radio bug while completing her Bachelor’s in Music Theory and Literature in Chattanooga, TN, where she spent three years as Music Director for Classical 90.5 WSMC. She briefly joined the CRB team in 2019 as a summer intern and returned in 2021 as a substitute announcer. Getting to share classical music with Boston is her dream job. Away from the microphone, Edyn-Mae can be found curled up with her dog, worrying over her latest knitting project or reading any book she can get her hands on.

Greg Ferrisi
Weekday Afternoon Host

Greg returns to the Boston area after a decade spent with his wife and kids in southeastern Oklahoma. While there, he got his start in radio as morning drive host for country music station KKBI, in Broken Bow, OK. A native of Plymouth, MA, and graduate of Boston University, Greg grew up watching WGBH and is happy to have found a home with WCRB.

Cathy Fuller
Producer and Host, In Concert
Weekday and Sunday Evening Host

Cathy Fuller has two degrees in Piano Performance from the New England Conservatory of Music. When she was 16, she won the Boston Symphony Orchestra's Young Artists Competition, and played the Schumann Concerto with conductor Harry Ellis Dickson and the BSO at Symphony Hall. She has been a faculty member at the University of Massachusetts/Lowell, Clark University and the Longy School of Music, and she continues to teach privately. She began her radio career at WICN in Worcester where she became Classical Director and Host. She joined the WGBH Radio team in 2000 as Classical Host and Producer.

Alan McLellan
Producer and Host, WCRB In Concert and GBH Music
Saturday Evening Host

Alan McLellan has been entertaining with his voice for many years, ever since discovering the joy of singing as a boy chorister in Vancouver, Canada. He has continued to sing in choirs throughout his life, and obtained a Master of Music degree in Choral Conducting at the University of Alberta, Canada. Alan currently sings with the Cantata Singers in Boston. He is also a vocal soloist, having appeared frequently at All Saints Parish in Brookline, Massachusetts, and with the Cantata Singers Chamber Series. Professionally, Alan has served as Classical Music Producer at the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation in Ottawa and Edmonton.

Emily Marvosh
Overnight Host

Emily has degrees in Vocal Performance from Central Michigan University and Boston University. She lived in Brookline, Cambridge, Jamaica Plain, and Cambridge (again) before settling in Somerville. A full-time performer, she has a particular fondness for Boston organizations like the Lorelei Ensemble, Cantata Singers, and the Handel and Haydn Society. She has been sharing classical music with WCRB audiences since 2018, and if you are a gardener or a Boston historian, she probably follows you on Twitter.

STAFF

Julia Marcus
Production Assistant

Julia Marcus is a singer-songwriter who earned a degree in Vocal Performance from Carnegie Mellon University as well as a Master of Music from the Longy School of Music of Bard College. Hailing from Westborough, MA, she grew up engaging with a wide variety of music. She began her musical career studying classical music and opera, but she quickly fell in love with singing musical theater, jazz, folk, and R&B. She first joined the CRB team as a substitute on-air host. When she’s not writing or performing, she spends her free time painting, playing horror games, and trying out new gluten-free recipes.

James Bennett II
Digital Writer/Announcer

James Bennett II is a Digital Writer/Announcer for CRB (and a reporter in the newsroom at GBH). The Brooklyn-based Bennett cut his public media teeth with New York Public Radio before joining this particular Boston outfit, and will continue to hold it down in his borough until he bounces up to Massachusetts Bay. At any given point in time, you can find him frantically catching up on book-club reading, sacrificing to the zeitgeist, cataloguing records, or thinking about the next time he’ll eat pâté.

Kendall Todd
Content Manager, GBH Music

Kendall Todd grew up in San Diego, California, and is asked every day why she left. She is a graduate of Tufts University with degrees in French and International Relations. Her interest in music began at age 7, when she went to a Christmas pops concert and got to hold a violin in an instrument petting zoo; she fell in love, and the rest is history. She played in the San Diego Youth Symphony and the Tufts Symphony Orchestra, and especially enjoys being in string quartets. At WCRB, she authors the weekly email newsletter, "The Note," and does a little bit of everything else, from social media to broadcast production.

Tyler Alderson
Operations Manager

Hailing from the wilds of Harvard, Massachusetts, Tyler grew up listening to WCRB and galloping around the room to the William Tell Overture. His first foray into radio came at Carnegie Mellon University as a DJ and play-by-play sportscaster for the Carnegie Mellon Tartans (a team as formidable as their namesake fabric pattern). He ended up falling in love with the medium, and incorporated a radio documentary into his master's dissertation on traditional singing in Ireland. When not behind the microphone he can be found happily picking away on the banjo, to the chagrin of all within earshot.

William Peacock
Lead Music Programmer

William Peacock is a composer, singer, and the lead music programmer for CRB. Having grown up in Braintree, Massachusetts, William has always seemed to drift back to the Boston area, getting degrees from Boston University, and becoming enmeshed with the local contemporary and choral music scenes (both as composer and singer). William has sung with ensembles such as Nightingale Vocal Ensemble and Ensemble Altera, and has written for ensembles such as the Mivos String Quartet. When William is not musicking or at work, he can usually be found in the kitchen, playing video games, or reading.

Anthony Rudel
General Manager, GBH Music
